Notable Residents

[edit]

Bulfinch was involved in the development of the south slope of Beacon Hill both as architect and investor, but I don't believe he ever actually lived there, let alone in Louisburg Square. The one source currently cited for the list of notable residents here doesn't mention him, only Howells, the Alcotts, and Jenny Lind's wedding. And http://www.historicnewengland.org/preservation/your-older-or-historic-home/articles/pdf89.pdf says that Bulfinch lived in the West End near Bowdoin Square.

As for Copley, he didn't live "in Lousiburg Square" since there was no Louisburg Square when he lived in Boston. He sold his farm on the west slope of the hill in the 1790s, I believe, and he lived in England for all of the later part of his life. If nobody objects, I'd like to remove his name along with Bulfinch's from the article here. 206.208.105.129 (talk) 18:24, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The statues of Columbus and Aristides, were imported by Louisburg Square resident, Joseph Iasigi[1] and were the property of the residents of Louisburg Square.[2] [3][4][5][6]Jessica082866 (talk) 21:21, 13 July 2014 (UTC)Jessica082866[reply]
